Tory Irgang introduced our speaker Tamu Reinhardt.
 
Tamu Reinhardt is currently the Coordinator of Student Support Services. Mrs. Reinhardt started the position on July 1st, 2021. The Coordinator of Student Support Services is responsible for providing expert leadership that includes monitoring and supporting a vision that encompasses a comprehensive student services plan in accordance with laws and regulations over all areas assigned within the department that lead to academic, social, and emotional success for all students.
 
Central to this role

-        Collaborating to ensure all children have access to opportunity regardless of the color of their skin, their sexual orientation, the language they speak or their religion, or socioeconomic background.
-        Addressing inequities and helping every student to equitable access learning opportunities in school to enable them all to thrive.
-        Acknowledging the presence of culturally diverse students and the need for students to find relevant connections and;
-        Assisting the District to develop the individual and organizational knowledge, attitudes, skills, and practices to create culturally responsive learning and working environments.
 
Mrs. Reinhardt graduated from Jamestown High School, received her Masters of Arts in Public Relations from Ball State University and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She holds her NYS School District Administration Certification, NYS Permanent Teacher Certification and Cornell University Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion.
 
Mrs. Reinhardt is currently a member of the Jamestown City Council, Chair of the City of Jamestown Police Reform and Reinvention Committee, Board Member and Chair of the Advocacy Committee for the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County and a member of the New York State School Administrators Association and the Board of Public Utilities.
 
Her personal volunteer work also includes the Jamestown Juneteenth Committee, The Jamestown Refugee Resettlement Coalition, The Love Mercy, Do Justice Interfaith Coalition and serves as a volunteer track coach for the Jamestown Public Schools.
