Alexis is co-owner and Vice President of El Greco Woodworking, Inc. She oversees product safety and compliance, designs internal data systems, and performs the role of strategist for her family-owned business.
Prior to joining El Greco, Alexis parlayed experiences working at the Media Programme of the European Union and the Greek Ministry of Defense into a PR role for symposia of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of the Eastern Orthodox Church. A few years as a NASDAQ trader on Wall St and a stint as a morning radio personality prepared her for managing the family business with quick grit and a handy flair for transition.

Alexis has served as a Director at Ralph C Sheldon Foundation, Inc. since 2003. She helps to advance economic development at the local and state levels having volunteered as Workforce Investment Board Chair and NYS Downtown Revitalization Initiative member.

Alexis earned a BA from Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.

She and her husband, Todd, are raising three funny children in the comedy capital of the world and home of the National Comedy Center, aka Jamestown, NY.

She shared with us the highlights of El Greco’s 47 years of operation, starting with her dad reading about furniture building at the Prendergast Library, through a devastating fire, and into the transition to the next generation.
