Stories
Lisa Bishop - Rotary District 7090 District Governor

Lisa described the 2022-23 theme of “Imagine” and the art work on the banner. The pin and banner were designed with the center circle standing for the members of rotary.  Purple stands for End Polio, Green for Health, and White for the Women’s Movement.

The 7 dots around it stand for the 7 areas of Rotary focus: Clean Water and Sanitation, Maternal Health, Environmental Care, Community Development, Disease Prevention, Literacy and Basic Education, and Peace and Conflict Resolution.  She left us with 3 things to focus on: Live a Life of Rotary – taking the 4-Way Test and Rotary club values into all pieces of your life.  Inspire and mentor young people in the community to a life of volunteerism with a goal of replacing yourself with 2 more people for when you’re gone, and make sure to take time to care for yourself and your family.

Scott Manger, District Governor Elect

Scott revealed the 2023-2024 Rotary year theme of Hope, defined as feeling the expectation of a thing to happen.  It sets a goal of restoring hope and healing, focused on building peace and optimism around the world.  The new Rotary banner was given to John Healy, who ceremonially passed it to our President Elect, Ruth Lundin.
