Julie La Grow - Literacy Volunteers of Chautauqua County

Julie LaGrow has been with LVCC since 2015, and was elevated to Executive Director in 2019. She oversaw its relocation to Fredonia in 2019 and its participation in the Small Business Revolution television show in 2020.

Before coming to LVCC, Julie served as Executive Director of the Dunkirk Camp & Conference Center for seven years. Both organizations saw greatly increased revenues under her creative leadership.  Under Julie's leadership, Literacy Volunteers' revenue increased 145%.  While living in Erie County, she served as the Executive Director of several child development centers in Buffalo and was a Quality Improvement Mentor for Success by 6, a United Way program to improve childcare in WNY. Julie is originally from East Aurora, and has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Gannon University and experience in Special Education.
