Announcements:
 

4/18 the quarterly mtg. of RCJCSF at Gebbie Headquarters. Any member welcome – time to be announced.

The Vision Committee and the Board of Directors has recommended our Club donate $250 to Rotary’s Gift of Life project supporting surgery for children all over the world with birth defects.

District 7090 Conference is this coming Friday and Saturday. Please contact Ruth Lundin or Marion Beckerink to carpool. (MEAT RAFFLE was cancelled)

Phil Cala spoke on behalf of the Golf Committee. The tournament is 7/17 at Moon Brook Country Club. THIS IS YOUR CLUB FUNDRAISER!!! We need everyone to participate in some fashion. Please contact two possible participants, sponsors, prize donors and make this a great event. We also need many volunteers to help with extracurricular events such as the basket drawing and the putting context. PLEASE, PLEASE GET INVOLVED!!!

Our wonderful exchange student Joah has moved to the Kidder home from Chris and Amy Anderson’s home. He has only 3 months left of his exchange – please call him or speak to him at a meeting and invite him to spend an evening, a day with you or take him to an event. He has been a wonderful exchange student representative and deserves to know more about you and our community.

Joah will be our speaker on May 1!!!!

PLEASE ENCOURAGE A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT YOU KNOW TO SUBMIT FOR A RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership) weekend 5/5-5/7. They will love it and thank you forever! Applications should be submitted ASAP!!!!

Don’t forget to sell your Books n Bibs tickets – another great fundraiser project between our Club and Creche.

District Governor Lisa Bishop will be our speaker on 5/8.

HIGHWAY CLEANUP is 4/22. Meet at the Park and Ride on Route 60 at 9AM

HANDS ON JAMESTOWN CLEANUP scheduled for 5/20 on the Riverwalk Bike Path.

 

50/50 winner received $38.00! The reception for the ZOOM meeting was awful on the Thruway so I can’t tell you who won!

Mike Roberts did a WONDERFUL job as the Sergeant at Arms.     

Dewey & Mark left early; 

Amy Roehler’s United Way received a great donation from a local real estate corporation; 

Kristin was fined for the WCA Foundation wonderful $25,000 gift to outfit a snack station in the UPMC lobby; 

Mike Roberts paid for wonderful memories at former Master’s tournaments with his dear father-in-law; and Mike gave for John LaMancuso’s candidacy for City Court Judge. 

Becky Robbins was fined for the BPU microgrid project; 

Russ Diethrick gave $10 for opening of baseball season; 

Chris and Denise were fined for the article regarding TRC’s Vicki Bardo;

Tory paid for her pleasure of working with our speaker Randall Perry; 

Diana Meckley paid for her good friend and fellow Rotarian Tim Edborg helping out with his chain saw when a tree came down on their property; and finally 

Dan Heitzenrater paid for the upcoming Chamber Business after Hours here at Pearl City Hops and the ribbon cutting ceremony at Studio D at the Airport.

Mike Roberts did a masterful job with a quiz on Polio Plus – how much has been donated? And how many children have been vaccinated?
