We only need 2 more volunteers to sell 50/50 tickets.

FARM TOURS featuring Charlotte’s Web are open if you wish to attend – contact Diana Meckley. 5/17 9:45-11:15 for kindergarten through 1st grade and 5/19 9:45-11:15 for 2nd thru 4th graders. 

5/13 – Battle of the Books (Jackson Center) Volunteers needed for this fun program, and we will have an informative table regarding foreign exchange and scholarships.

Fines & Happy Bucks: 

Sergeant-at-Arms Doug Conroe received donations from Deb Kathman for being away.

He fined Denise Jones & Chris Anderson for honoring Resource Center staff.

Kristin was fined for a photo of the WCA Foundation receiving $10,000 from Howard Hanna Real Estate.

Kirk Young was fined for the new JCC gently used business clothes closet for students.

Doug fined different tables for recent articles in the Rotary magazine – so be sharp people and read the magazine in preparation for next week’s questions.

Ruth reminded everyone of the Community Music concert to be held on Sunday.

Mike Roberts paid for the wonderful Ohio State University athletes chosen at this week’s NFL first round draft!

Deb Morlock reminded us of the grant for plant-a-tree available from the NYSDEC. She also paid for the graduation of her son from the Citadel.

Youth Exchange:  

Chairman Cheri Krull announced our club will welcome a young man (15 years old) from Brazil in mid-August. He will attend Southwestern Central School and will be hosted by Jay and Lisa Yaggie from August through December. Host families are needed thereafter.

She also announced that June 12 will be Joah’s last meeting. We will have a farewell party for him on July 7 and he will leave the US on July 8.

Joah reminded us he is running in a .5-mile event with other exchange students June 2-4 and needs sponsors. If you can help, please give or send your donations to him ASAP.
