At a recent meeting, the Noon Rotary Club of Jamestown awarded two Paul Harris Fellow Awards to Randy Sweeney, Executive Director of the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, and his wife, Peggy Sweeney.  Mr. Sweeney was receiving his second Paul Harris Fellow Award and Mrs. Sweeney was receiving her first.  Both have been intimately involved with the community for many years and truly live up to Rotary’s motto of service above self.

A Paul Harris Fellow Award is a donation of $1000 to The Rotary Foundation and is a fitting testament to a member's dedication and belief in Rotary.  All current donations are made to Rotary's goal of Polio Eradication.

The Paul Harris Fellow Award was established in 1957 to show appreciation for and encourage substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation’s only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study, the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships.
